Booze & Fire – Wild Brews & Firecraft in Gormanston Woods Sunday 10th August 10am - 3pm Step into the wild with Booze & Fire, a one-of-a-kind day of crafting, tasting, and connecting in the heart of nature. Set in the serene Gormanston Woods and guided by Ross Wareham of froe.ie and Feebee Foran of Forager.ie, this experience blends botanical alchemy with firecraft. You’ll learn how to craft your own wild mead from honey and create botanical ginfusions using foraged ingredients. With expert guidance, you’ll explore flavour profiles, fermentation techniques, and infusion tips to awaken your inner wild brewer. Guests will enjoy tastings throughout the day and leave with a 300ml bottle of mead and their own handcrafted infusion, ready to finish at home with vodka or gin. Ross will guide you through the ancient skill of fire-starting, demonstrating traditional and modern techniques. A grounding, hands-on lesson in self-reliance and connection to the elements. To round off the day, you’ll enjoy a hearty vegetarian lunch cooked over an open fire, savouring the warmth and flavour of wild-cooked food in good company. What’s Included: Mead-making and ginfusion workshop Tastings of wild brews Take-home mead and botanical infusion Fire-starting skills session Delicious vegetarian fire-cooked lunch Unplug, unwind, and tap into the wild.
